You can find us in the Upper Cecina Valley, a region renowned for its rich cultural heritage. The heart of the area is Volterra, an ancient Etruscan city that boasts a fascinating history and is adorned with remnants from Roman, Medieval, and Renaissance times.Our quaint farmstead, which adheres to traditional Tuscan architecture, has recently undergone restoration. Nestled in front of S. Dalmazio, a charming ancient town located 700m away, our stony residence holds historical significance as it was the setting for Carlo Cassola's novel "Il taglio del bosco."
Located in the Pomarance district of the province of Pisa, within the scenic High Maremma Toscana and near the picturesque "Colline Metallifere," our farmstead is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. From lush forests like the Berignone Wood, Tatti, and Monterufoli Wood, to striking gullies, cliffs, and geysers, the natural beauty of the region is truly captivating.
Perched on a hill 350m high, our farmstead is enveloped by serene countryside surroundings. Sprawling across 60 hectares of land, we cultivate organic wheat and olives, ensuring the highest quality produce.
For our guests' convenience, we offer breakfast (B&B) and dinner (half board) in our veranda, which offers a splendid view of the 12th century Rocca Sillana. This historical site is easily accessible on foot. Our meals showcase the finest Tuscan cuisine, incorporating fresh organic produce from our garden. Upon request, we can provide vegetarian options. Furthermore, we exclusively use our own organic extra-virgin olive oil in our culinary creations.

Directions from Genova, Parma, La Spezia:
Take Highway A12 (Genova-Rosignano) and exit at Rosignano. Continue on route "Variante Aurelia SS1" towards Grosseto. Take the exit for Cecina Nord. From there, take Statale n° 68 towards Volterra. Continue straight until you reach Saline di Volterra. Turn right towards Pomarance. Once you pass the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After 3 km, turn left towards S.Dalmazio. Just 500m after S.Dalmazio, you will see a sign indicating "Podere Apparita" on your right. Continue straight for 300m and you have arrived.
Directions from Pisa Airport:
Take the FI-PI-LI highway towards Firenze. Take the second exit towards Pontedera. Follow the signs for Volterra until you reach Saline di Volterra. From there, proceed to Pomarance. Once you pass the town, follow the signs for Larderello. After 3 km, turn left towards S.Dalmazio. Just 500m after S.Dalmazio, you will see a sign indicating "Podere Apparita" on your right. Continue straight for 300m and you have arrived.
Directions from Bologna-Firenze:
Arrive in Firenze and take the exit towards Firenze Impruneta. Then, take the highway towards Siena and exit at Colle Val d'Elsa Sud (turn right). At the roundabout, continue towards Radicondoli-Grosseto for 10 km. Look for a gas station called "Total" on the left and the "La Speranza" restaurant on the right. Turn right after the restaurant. After 2 km, turn left towards Monteguidi. After a couple of km, turn right towards Pomarance. Pass through the towns of Monteguidi and Montecastelli and follow the road signs to San Dalmazio. After 3 km from Montecastelli, you will find the sign for our farmstead. It is located 300m ahead on the left.

From there, take route Statale nr. 68 towards Volterra and continue straight until you reach Saline di Volterra. Turn right towards Pomarance. Once you pass the town, follow the signs for Larderello.
