Description for B&B:

Welcome to Le Queyroix-Martin, a charming haven nestled in the picturesque Monts de Blond in rural Haute-Vienne. Debra and Graham invite you to experience the tranquility and serenity of their converted barns, lovingly transformed into a delightful bed and breakfast.

Immerse yourself in the fresh countryside air, accompanied by the melodic songs of birds, as you unwind and rejuvenate. Our five tastefully designed double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, offer a comfortable and peaceful retreat. These rooms have been thoughtfully crafted from the original apple and livestock barns built in 1883.

Indulge in our delectable table d'hôtes, where evening meals are savored either in the dining room adorned with charming original features or on the terrace, weather permitting, with vistas of the enchanting garden. Surrounded by majestic chestnut and oak forests, Le Queyroix-Martin boasts four acres of grounds, including the historic apple orchard. Feel free to explore, find a cozy corner to lose yourself in a book, or simply relax and soak in the idyllic atmosphere while admiring the breathtaking views of the valley. Keep an eye out for the graceful roe deer that often graze among the trees.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the area offers an abundance of opportunities for walkers and cyclists, with over 100 km of accessible tracks directly from the house, as well as numerous quiet lanes perfect for cycling. Venture further afield to discover charming towns and villages, many of which host vibrant weekly or fortnightly markets. Nearby Lac St Pardoux presents the chance for freshwater swimming and various water sports. If you crave a touch of culture, Limoges awaits just 30 minutes away, renowned for its museums, historic sites, art galleries, and world-famous porcelain manufacturers.

Getting to Le Queyroix-Martin is effortless, with regular flights from various UK airports to Limoges Bellegarde, a mere 20-minute drive from our doorstep. Other airports, such as Poitiers, Tours, Bergerac, and Bordeaux, are within a three-hour drive. In addition, Ryanair will be launching a new route in 2014 to Brive, which is just an easy one-hour drive away. Alternatively, if you prefer traveling by train, Limoges is well-served by TGVs from Paris Gare Austerlitz, easily accessible from Eurostar at Gare du Nord. Even if you are not arriving by train, a visit to Limoges station, Gare Bénédictine, is highly recommended to marvel at its spectacular architecture.

For those driving, we are approximately an 8-hour journey from Calais, offering multiple route options to avoid the bustling Paris périphérique if desired.

Whatever brings you to Le Queyroix-Martin, whether it be a stopover on a longer journey, an adventure-packed holiday, a tranquil weekend getaway, or a quest to find your dream home in the area, we extend a warm and friendly welcome. We eagerly anticipate the pleasure of meeting you.

Stayed here for 2 nights and can honestly say that it is one of the best places we have stayed. Graham and Debra put everything into making you feel at home. The rooms are super and very comfortable and clean. The food is exceptionally good and home made. Our evening meals and the company were the icing on the cake. Thank you both!

Beautiful, new rooms and affectionate atmosphere

During our travel through France, we lived in several Bed&Breakfast accomodations and this definitly was one of the best ones. The rooms are new and you can see and feel the passion and big ambition Debra and Graham put in their rooms to make them as comfortable as possible for their guests.
For the breakfast they bake their own Brioche and you can choose between several self made confitures.
We had great conversations with the owner, who gave us also good advices about the region and local events.
We are still thinking about our trip and won't forget!
