Description:

Description for B&B:

Experience a warm and inviting atmosphere at La Vieille Distillerie, a beautifully restored Maison de Maitre from the mid-nineteenth century, complete with its own former Cognac distillery.

During the winter months, our centrally heated house offers an even cozier environment, with crackling log fires and romantic candlelit dinners.

Nestled in the picturesque south Charente region, there are countless activities to enjoy, ranging from cookery classes at Chez Cartier with Reza Mahammed, to visits to local Cognac distilleries, wine-tasting, golfing, fishing, horse-riding, and bird-watching. Additionally, there are numerous historic towns and villages nearby, boasting fascinating Chateaux and gardens.

Located in the peaceful hamlet of Le Tatre, just 4 kms off the N10 route to the South and Spain, our establishment is a convenient stopover or an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking French countryside. Surrounded by vineyards, sunflower fields, and rolling landscapes, the quiet roads are perfect for cyclists, walkers, and birdwatchers, offering sightings of the Hoopoe, Black Redstart, Serin, Black Kite, and Zetting Cisticole in the Le Tatre area.

For those in search of a new home, we are excellently situated near the borders of three Departments - the Charente Maritime, the Gironde, and the Dordogne. Additionally, a fishing lake and tennis court are just a few yards away from our house, while an eleventh century church overlooks our charming garden.

Appréciations pour La Vieille Distillerie, Le Tatre:

Pour une nuit
Review by: Rémy et Agnès , Sep 22 2019 7:27PM
