Situated in Cournon-d'Auvergne, between the Regional Natural Parks of the Volcanoes and Livradois-Forez, MAISON 1780 welcomes you in the heart of Auvergne, 15 minutes southeast of Clermont-Ferrand, and just 5 minutes from the Zenith and the Grande Halle d'Auvergne.

Less than an hour from the main tourist sites, MAISON 1780 is ideally located to discover all the riches of the region.

THE HOUSE:

Nestled in a green setting, away from prying eyes, the charm operates as soon as you pass the gate. This former winemaking farmhouse, dating back to the 18th century, was completely restored in 2017. It will be a haven of peace for you, a timeless break.

Our three rooms "BERRY", "POLLEN" and "POTIRON", including a large family suite, are located on the first floor and all open onto the charming garden dotted with fig trees, lilacs, lavender, rosemary and oleanders. Each room plays with light through soothing colors to offer you all the comfort and tranquility necessary for your rest.

- "POTIRON" room (28 m²) with double bed 160x200. Private bathroom and toilet in the room.

- "POLLEN" room (29 m²) is a family room with double bed 160x200 and an independent lounge that can be converted into a second bedroom with a double bed 140x190 (to be specified when booking). Separate bathroom and toilet, private on the same floor.
Due to certain hazardous features, the house is not suitable for children under 12 years old.

- "BERRY" room (12 m²) with double bed 160x200 or two single beds 80x200. Separate bathroom and toilet, private on the same floor.

The interior of the house is a subtle blend of modernity and tradition (volcanic stone staircase and slabs, ancient fireplaces, lime-coated half-timbered walls, original oak floors, vaulted or French-style ceilings, terracotta tiles). Antique furniture, design pieces, and cherished objects are showcased in a family home atmosphere.

Friendliness is essential, and large common areas are dedicated to guests (dining room and lounge).

The surrounding hills are an invitation to stroll. You can also laze in a deckchair in the shade of the fig trees or on the spacious terrace for a well-deserved moment of relaxation if you have explored the region and its treasures.

The generous and delicious breakfasts will make you rediscover what taking your time means. You will be served a whole range of homemade products: jams, brioche and pastries, organic bread and yogurt, honey from the bees of our region, cereals, fresh fruits, quality loose tea, and fruit juice.

For dinners, we offer a table d'hôtes upon reservation (45 euros per adult, including wine, and 35 euros for those under 18), including a Maison 1780 aperitif cocktail, a starter, a main course, a selection of cheeses from our region, and a dessert. Our regional cuisine pays tribute to seasonal products, traditional recipes, and the treasures of our region.
